Numerous Top 100 CPA firms (some remote)—Brentwood, CA—$80-180K plus bonus

Note from the Hiring Manager

• Seniors: 2-4 years’ experience with Top 20 CPA firm
• Managers: 4+ years’ experience with Top 20 CPA firm
• Compliance and Consulting

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree required, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree preferred; minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the IRS required (i.e. CPA or JD).
• Managers: 4+ years’ relevant work experience with an accounting firm
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient use of technology, including Excel.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, manage, and complete tax projects.
• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to a variety of clients, from early-phase companies to Fortune 500 corporations.
• Market, design, and implement tax-planning strategies for clients and manage to budget.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complicated/complex income tax returns, including federal and multi-state, and provide ASC 740 tax provision support.
• Managers lead teams in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows.
• Managers maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, and lead change effectively.
• Managers supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and performance.
• Managers also participate in professional growth and development of Associates and Senior Associates.
