Hi! My name is Herman! I was taken to the shelter because my previous owner could no longer take care of me when I caught a tort cold. The shelter helped me to get well again and then transferred me to the rescue to help me find my forever home. Fun fact about me! I am considered a 'near threatened' species so making sure I can live a long and happy life is imperative. I'm about halfway to full-grown so my enclosure will need to accommodate my growth in the future. I'm a vegetarian and I love the outdoors. Having a safe outdoor enclosure is required for me to thrive and stay healthy. The rescue has all the information you will need to set this up for me if you need help. I don't know my age but we are assuming that I am around 10 years old due to my size. I can live up to 30 years if I have a lean, high-fiber diet and a low-stress environment with the right temps and light. Bringing me into your family is a lifelong commitment, for both of us!
